Broadway Series South Presents Special Farewell Performance of ‘Riverdance’ in Raleigh April 29-May 4

The Irish sensation that jigged its way around the world has embarked on a farewell tour of the United States. Broadway Series South brings this special presentation of “Riverdance” to Raleigh’s Progress Energy Center for the Performing Arts April 29-May 4.

Riverdance launched in 1994 as a filler act for the Eurovision Songfest, which Ireland happened to host that year. Talented dancers Michael Flatley and Jean Butler gained renowned fame due to Riverdance’s worldwide popularity. The phenomenon has sparked an interest in Irish dancing across the world.
